Not sure who will win out in the New York mayoralty, but I'm hearing some *very* confident noises from Susan Hall's team.

How absolutely disgusting and deplorable. I’ll have more thoughts once I pick my jaw up off the floor, but in the meantime, Farage should get in the bin where he belongs.

When you consider the headwinds that US public transit has faced since 2020 — not just permanent work-from-home but also fears about security — this recovery looks pretty impressive.

We need to get serious about dealing with dangerous junctions in London. I had too many close calls yesterday including in Stratford, and to find out someone was killed…
Awful news - fatality at Stratford High St/Carpenters Rd, 2pm yesterday (Monday 13 January)

A man in 20s cycling, killed at known dangerous junction in collision involving driver manoeuvring HGV.

More from us as we find out more @newhamcyclists.bsky.social

That's what running fast service in mixed traffic with local one does to your local service: either it crowds it out or, like in this graphic timetable example of the Adriatic line (probably the busiest mixed-traffic line in Italy), it lengthen local service's trip time considerably.

Strong, integrated regional planning which focuses development in places that are/can be well-connected by sustainable modes is essential if we want to tackle car dependency and the climate crisis. It’s concerning, if not surprising to see the shift towards car dependent dev the past 20 years
We argue for (among other things) for integrated regional planning of new homes and transport. It is shocking that England does not do this already. If anything, the combo of further planning deregulation and arbitrary housing targets for individual local authorities will make things worse. 3/3
