The more air-time Reform are given, the greater the veneer of "seriousness" they acquire. IMO relentless ridicule is probably an appropriate counter. Voters are unlikely to want to seem ridiculous by association.

Which is actually an admission that most new vehicles are too expensive (& too big, heavy, powerful, thirsty & gadget-infested), & that most people can't afford them.
