It's time to binge the physical competition shows.

I definitely forgot to add how ABSOLUTLY UNHINGED this show. Oh and also never watch this series with headphones because, the sound effect volume level is absolutley broken on this series until Part 6.

It's clear that Araki is a true artist as he stuffs his interests from other art forms into the series. The musical name references. The artistic body poses. The fashion design of the main characters.

It all comes together and lives up to its name. This truly is a bizarre adventure.

Alt: Jolyne Cujo is a young American woman with blond and green hair. Wearing green lipstick and yellow eyeshadow on her face. She is in a grey open collar shirt. Her eyes are closed and are surrounded by water as it is rising. Her head tilts down and her eyes open with a fierce look.

It's clear the mangaka Araki was more interested in the visuals and doing cool shit. The story would suffer from this on the regular. Not just poor writing but often problematic. Often using exposition to tell or inform the audience of whats going on.

Part 5 is the most cohesive in its writing.

Oftentimes I felt like I didn't want to see more. My mind glossed over sections of the story because in the end they felt irrelevant to the overall plot.

What carried me through this series was the art, action, the ridiculousness of it all. Like these random poses and the outfit choices.
a cartoon character is standing in front of a building and looking at his watch .
Alt: Josuke is a Japanese high schooler who is a slim muscular teen wearing a stylized Japanese black school uniform with a yellow under shirt. He stands in the street and hits a pose.

Throughout the series feels like it's lost its way or it's clearly indicating we are going plot point A to B to C to D without really knowing how we get there. Its a clear sign of how bad the weekly manga release schedule can affect the writing. Not to mention the politics of the weekly release.
a man in a hat is holding a piece of paper with the word yare yare on it
Alt: Jotaro Cujo is a muscular Japanese school teen wearing a stylized military style school uniform in black with a grey shirt underneath. He pulls the brim of his hat down as he says Yare Yare.

This is what sets it apart from Fist of the North Star. You can clearly see the visual influence in the early parts hard not to be when this series was originally written as a manga in the 80s. I also think this is why so many people don't like part 1. It's very dated and of its time.
a man in a blue shirt is standing in front of a fire in a cartoon .
Alt: Jonathan Joestar is a young blue haired muscular man who is wearing a blue shirt with leather shoulder pads. He is also wearing leather arm bands around his forearms. He looks down from a high place outside on a clear night. There are two fires alight either side of him. The scene cuts to a close up of his face. He cries and says "Dio..."

If you are wondering if this show is for you then do you like comedy, action with a heavy emphasis on horror?

The series explores different horror themes throughout including monster, psychological, sexual violence, body and, esoteric. Each part switches its focus on these different elements often.

I haven't heard that name since I feel like the 00s.

I've got an opportunity lined up that should keep me solvent once it starts, but it won't be until about mid-late January, and I'm essentially at the last of my savings now. The $4000 I'm asking for here (ko-fi.com/sjhdoesgames) should be enough to keep me covered until that time. (2/3)

OH I GOT AN IDEA for marketing then. If you sell 1000 copies within a month. You step in a casino and you play a game of craps. If there was a physical release the deluxe edition could have some of the dice and a dice tray with the game background printed on it.

Wait hold on what did you spend the $20 on? was it drinks/food as you walked the floor? or did you spend it on some games there?

There's so many added options to this I didn't see when I first looked at this.
