This time, for real, the shooter is probably trans. Half century ago trans people just suicided, and far too often. Had a trans client show me a pistol once, that was the last she saw of me. We've become too tolerant of gun nuts in the trans community, and it'll be our undoing. Be careful out there.

I was dealing with the state of Minnesota which is still under democratic control.
1. The tide has turned since Trump’s first term, the bigots are bolder now, and our allies subdued. He may not be as accommodating as he once was.
2. They’re purging kind people out of government agencies. He may not even be there anymore.

Trump's funding impoundments are especially bad for Minnesota and other northern states- Construction projects have to get funded and started in the spring, Trump's actions could delay needed projects for a year or more.

If Trump were clever he'd appoint a bunch of innocent looking department and agency heads who'd look nice while quietly taking away our rights and maybe our lives too. Instead he's appointing an "administration" of incompetents that can only fool Trump's cult members.
