In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, there exists an immensely rare, extremely unfortunate scenario where Luigi dies in a stampede during the Hooktail battle and Mario spends the rest of the battle standing on Luigi's dead body.
After Hooktail attacks the audience in her boss battle in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, one or two audience members will be trampled in the stampede of the audience leaving. These characters will remain lying on the ground, seemingly dead, for the remainder of the battle. Goombella is standing on two dead Goombas. From the regular camera's point of view, these are very difficult to see due to being covered up by the seats. Since there is a very small chance that Luigi is present in the audience, and an even smaller chance that he will be the one trampled, there exists an immensely rare unfortunate scenario where Mario and his partner will be standing on a dead Luigi for the remainder of the battle.
