The buffering adds no value to the experience when you can finally continue with the story. It's just pure annoyance and ruins the flow.

The same is with hard games. I feel no joy when beating hard bosses, and by the time I beat them I'm completely taken out of the story

I play solo games for the story. Its like watching a series with bad internet, and at every impactful scene it starts buffering. Every time you come back its still buffering. Eventually you get lucky and get past the scene, but it will just start buffering again at the next important moment
