I believe most things are spectrums rather than either/ors such as "passive, assertive, aggressive." People may misunderstand someones assertiveness as aggression but they are 2 different things. Theres no place for hate but theres a place for tough love. #AssertivenessWorks

All that happens if u dont forgive someone is u just enter into a purgatory-like state+stay in that loop 4ever until u break free!

Unforgiveness is a dead end.A path to nowhere. All that happens if u dont forgive someone is that u havent forgiven someone-and thats it forever until u do forgive them.

All kinds of things are unacceptable but nothing is unforgivable. Forgiving isnt forgetting, condoning, passivity, exonerating or reconnecting. Forgiveness is its own distinct thing. Forgiveness is just saying no to hate + revenge and being aware that they dont work as solutions. #Forgiveness

I keep seeing memes like these circulating. They mean well but totally get forgiveness wrong. And I feel like this is a society-wide misunderstanding.

Forgiveness is constantly mistaken for things it isnt: grace, acceptance, forgetting, re-trusting, condoning, passivity, reconciling or exoneration.
