I learned a new word this week “Kakistocracy”comes from the Greek word kaka (meaning “bad”), but it is used to signify a group of people who are misguided and corrupt. Many of them gain power through war, others are elected even in what seems to be a fair process but using unfair means.

Republicans have used public concern about Social Security’s future solvency as a cynical excuse to demand cuts in benefits.

But Social Security could easily pay everything it will owe to everyone for the next 75 years if the cap on income subject to SS taxes were eliminated.

Let me explain.
