i remember when i was little and on deviantart someone made an oc like mine and i had a total meltdown until she told me that she just really loved my design and now we’re lifelong friends and still talk LOL
I’ve noticed a lot of artists REALLY dislike when their OCs are compared to other characters. I don’t.
When people say that my characters remind them of/look like something else, I actually enjoy it. It’s cool to see where people identify influences or similarities in character designs.
It’s fun.
