I am a fan of Holly Gibney. She is a Stephen King character. She appears in 7 books. I’ve read two of the seven.

If you’re looking for a spooky October book to read, Holly & Never Flinch are good choices. IMO Holly is the creepiest of the two.

Spooky reading! #SrephenKing #horrorandcrime #books

The Scapegoat written by Daphne Du Maurier

Two men, John-English & Jean-French, cross paths. Their resemblance to each other is eerie. They have drinks, John falls drunk and awakens to find Jean has stolen his identity & disappeared. And this is only the beginning!

Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurie is
a haunting suspenseful gripping gothic novel. A young wallflower finds love, marries a widower, moves to a grand estate where she immediately feels pressure & anxiety to live up to her husband’s first wife Rebecca.

This morning. A bit of crimson came to visit, a strong silky spider thread at least 20 feet long still standing, and a single hawk soaring circles.

I fully remember, this book is a challenging read; but an education we need.

Totalitarianism in power invariably replaces all first-rate talents, regardless of their sympathies, with those crackpots and fools whose lack of intelligence and creativity is still the best guarantee of their loyalty.

I LOVED this book! A three day read; the last page came too soon. The book was almost impossible to put down- it was that good. It did not feel like reading a story, it felt like experiencing a story.

A quote from the novel I am currently reading. Read and reread this line a dozen plus times.

“ … We are slaves who have appointed our own slave driver, only we call him Führer. "
