For those of you in or near LA I highly recommend downloading Watch Duty.
There is also a website called Broadcastify where you can listen to the fire department radio - they’re stating several addresses they are working on/headed to as well as flare ups

A little advice for English majors as someone with an English degree: take the fun classes. Take your intro to modern fantasy and creative writing. Not everything needs to be deeply intellectual, burn out is real and those classes can make a world of difference

I just read Cruel Winter With You by Ali Hazelwood and as much as I loved it (def recommend it for a quick winter read), i couldn't get over the fact the MC went to Berkeley med school... when Berkeley doesn't have a med school.. 👀
