I toot for me.

Utility bicycling, playing cards, and grumpy shitposts. Transphobes and fascists can get wrecked.

The world is on fire and we should try to save some […]

I love these illustrations and I think a lot of other people do too. The excellent @publicdomainrev posted them but without alt text, and I have a strict no-boost policy, so I’m making my own toot. https://publicdomainreview.org/collection/japanese-fireworks-catalogues/

It is weird that London Drugs is one of the better selections of board games around. For USians, this is like a CVS or a Walgreens but they inexplicably have a pretty solid selection of board games year round.

Octoblerone success! Verdict: Toblerone is fine, unremarkable, fun shape.

Lovely cupcake my partner brought me. They’re still all testing negative, so my isolation continues.

They could be working on Diablo 5 or something but instead they’re out there doing evil shit like this. Shame on you, Blizzard.

The app on my phone tells me this is a goldenrod crab spider.

For the first time since I planted them several years ago we got (three, tiny) apples off of one of our apple trees. Yum!

The deck of cards here looks a bit like a cell phone.

Age of a character would be a good conceit for the ranks of a deck of cards, from baby to old person (or corpse, depending how macabre you feel)

Container getting a new edition. #boardgames Never played the original, and don’t really have the group for it these days, but it’s always appealed to me.

Oh fun fact most card nerds would know but I don’t think I’ve posted about here. In the 15th-18th century, Portugal manufactured its cards with dragons on the aces. Portugal eventually stopped doing this, but the designs left their mark on Japanese playing cards.
