I had ONE job on my to-do list, so obviously I did like ten other jobs and my to-do list is still there waiting for me.

Very proud of our little town's creativity. Me & some other locals are creating more arts events, and this is our first pop up show. Hopefully the first of many more to come.

Oh and my weekly art newsletter is out. It's usually a personal reflection, something between a blog & journal.

I had been thinking of taking "The Hobbit" on holiday with me for this reason - hoping it would re-enchant me back into reading.✨️
Terrific advice from @clairemabey.bsky.social on how to return to reading over summer. Very on brand for me, but I totally tautoko her advice to return to a book you loved around the age of 12. The perfect way to re-engage with books, and yourself thespinoff.co.nz/books/30-11-...

The garden was full of pī/bees and pūrerehua/butterflies today. Unfortunately, I was stuck inside cleaning, but at least they got to enjoy the garden!

So I ended up going outside and playing in the garden, starting to explore different ways of making art with flora.

I'm supposed to be tidying up after our art trail weekend, but the weather is too good. I'm sure the mess will still be here after the sun's gone down.
