We live and we learn! Tazi was bought from a newspaper ad from a likely backyard breeder and came with a bad case of ear mites. The other three were from Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue. I'm lucky enough to have two great beagle rescues near me. Not everyone is.

U. Fitz sank on my G-ma's birthday, so that's been a bit of family lore. Then one of my cousins had her wedding the same date. My uncle, who is a huge classic rock fan, said a prayer for the U. Fitz and played the entire song as part of his father of the bride speech. Didn't mention G-ma. Cold.

Tazi (tricolor), Copper (chocolate) and Leeloo (lemon) were all typical beagle sized at 25-30 lbs. Maggie is a couple of inches taller and weighs 40. Mags is a bit more independent, too, which I think is the foxhound coming out a bit.

I'm curious how it'll taste! Crust is chocolate wafer crumbs w a drizzle of caramel topping and then layer of toasted chopped pecans.
