Nice! Mine too. My German wife does much of the cooking here in the U.S., but I provide the German bread. After years of hearing complaints about the bread, I started baking. I’ll have to look into beer next.

We watched the ski jumping in Lake Placid yesterday. The men and women had great individual performances, but the highlight was the team competition. Norway, Austria and German all had the lead at one point, but Andi Wellinger had the deciding jump to win it for the Germans.

Today I learned that one of the witches in Wicked is green. Our daughter is briefing us as we prepare to watch the movie. I’ve seen trailers and countless scenes from the musical. I never noticed.

My great grandfather died young in 1925, so I’ve never known much about him. I’d heard he was an excellent golfer and that he once served as president of the USGA. My uncle recently passed and I found this trophy in his attic. Wow! He won a tournament at Shinnecock Hills in 1899.

Looking forward to spending Christmas in Germany for the first time in over 25 years! I have missed the Weihnachtsmärkte. Our oldest is studying in Germany and can’t come home, so we will go to her. It will be the first German Christmas for both of our girls.
