This is such an ass stupid take (why would I expect anything different from bs of bend), and it is unfortunately taking every iota of my self control not to message this woman and yell lol

Me whenever the temp gets above 60 and I bust out my floral shirts, jorts and baseball caps (I’m very pale and my nose burns easily I need them).

Ellie’s first paddle of the season! I convinced her to stop being a Karen toward other dogs just long enough to take this picture.

When I first came out to Oregon for college we passed through Bend and this magazine was in a visitors center. Apparently the llama is smiling because of the 300 days of sunshine, but I now know the llama is smiling because they’re a sick, lying freak

I feel extremely called out and hurt by these erroneous accusations. Top sheets are just extra complications for sleeping cozily in bed.

The entire comment section on this is just “I never thought the leopards would eat MY face!”

Like damn, these were some gorgeous girls.

Just don’t get chickens. They’ll break your heart.

RIP to my favorite bitchy duo, Patrick and Django. You two were the prettiest, pettiest, sassiest girls.

To the hawk that got them- I hate you but I forgive you.

My boyfriend left for a trip today (weirdly also to Texas?) so left his car at the airport for me to pick up and drive home. I thought his console was fogged up but instead he’d stuck this note on their for me 🥲🥲 best thing to get after a hard week. I love and adore this man.

But yes I did spend my week going through around 5k permits today to determine if someone in the 70s had the thought to mark what material the water service line was made of. I never want to look at another permit again.

I feel like my posts are more pop culture and less infrastructure related than I’d like so here is a text exchange with my partner about a really good water service line spreadsheet I made while listening to Creed. He was not supportive.

Arrived home to find my mom sent me a giant stuffed capybara? It’s the same size as my dog.
I have never expressed a love of capybaras.

And of course, anteaters, tapir, sloth and more birds than I ever thought were possible. This trip has been a dream.

Never coming home (taken from our 19k hike with an amazing local naturalist guide in Corcovado National Park)

In positive news, I have a very wonderful and giving partner who bought me a laptop I can run large programs on. In negative news, I will not be available for the foreseeable future as I do “work”

I swear I will post more transit/housing/public health content soon but I’m in a musical critique mood and I just don’t get why people sleep on Phantom of the Opera (2004) and also why is this what made me bi?
