So sorry I never responded to this. I thought I had. But yes, the boundaries when I checked at work the same day were all good and up to date!

Here is another screenshot where I tried to overlay the Census geographies (red), CWAs (black), and zones (blue). They don't align 100% perfectly here over water because the Census files don't conform to some of the inlets, but they do match over land.

Also if I am just misunderstanding anything you've said, let me know. I also get this is a very slight change and am sure you have other things on your docket which may be more immediately important. Thanks.

We actually have an old map in our ops area which I believe uses the old lines, which are the ones currently used by the autoplotter.

Hooper Bay falls in that area (screenshot below) that switched from one area to the other way near the western interface of the Fairbanks and Anchorage CWAs.

The second link here (z_18mr25.zip) uses the current lines for the Alaska CWAs. www.weather.gov/gis/CWABounds

Naw, it was actually changed a few years ago, before I started at NWS Fairbanks. Hooper Bay used to be part of NWS Anchorage and is now part of NWS Fairbanks. It was then changed again to keep CWA and zone lines from crossing Census areas and borough lines. Here is a map of the current lines.

Polar vortex started getting used everywhere in December 2013 into early 2014, from what I remember.
