100% a concern. I also prefer roads that make doing the speed limit and stopping where you are supposed the easy thing. I'll take raised crossings and uncomfortably narrow streets over wide lanes on straight roads then an arbitrary, passively enforced speed limit.

Curious to find out what is the difference in pure monetary cost of a traffic camera versus a raised crossing or other traffic calming. I prefer making following the rules easy rather than tempting people to break them and fining them for doing so.

And maybe it doesn't matter if inflation would've had public fury. What was going to happen as a result that is worse than current status?
