I just finished Louis Sachar's newest book (and first in five years), The Magician of Tiger Castle. It's billed as his first novel for adults, although it still basically feels like YA. The biggest departure is that it's a medieval fantasy, which is a genre he's never worked in before.

I got the novelization by Alan Dean Foster at the library book sale a while ago, and it's one of my favorite finds. I should read it this fall!
