I'm a IoW resident, and we are to be lumped in together with Hampshire, so I was all for the delay - We have the added obstacle of that water between us and the Mainland, ferry Travel, and Medical services etc. all intertwined. If we then end up with a Turquoise council, we right royally screwed.

to get an enquiry going, it quickly fell apart, under the excuse - imo - of the unreliability of "Nick". I am wondering if that is why there is some mention of overthrowing May in the Epstein files as I recall. "Lady" Victoria would have mixed in similar circles to such people I reckon.

No surprise to me - Any attempts to address the same issues within society (and I mean at the same level of power and influence as the Epstein case) in this country has met with a massive brick wall. You can imagine the collective sigh of relief when Saville died, and then when May attempted

I've long been thinking that it should be restored, but not as a fully functioning seat of government - do it slowly over a number of years, and build new facilities in the Midlands with the money saved. Accommodation etc. A Reboot of sorts.

I was only ever aware of She's Not There, which is poor I guess, considering they were the product of my Birth City - St. Albans. Most of them when to the rather Posh St.Albans School, same as Stephen Hawking. Not my school, coming from a Caaaancil estate.

Doesn't surprise me, but then this has been going on for a while via Tufton Street, and Turning Point UK. They can get as many bots as they like screaming about changing the government here, but providing free elections are still allowed in the US (I do wonder) the people pushing for this could

Saw them at Reading 1983, and was a fan at the time. A late friend of mine met Phil as part of a "Make a Wish" thing, backstage at a gig. When my mate jokingly asked "What do to you want to be when you grow up ?", he said in that wonderful Irish drawl "A Bus Driver !".

Awesome building, and so many memories of the park nearby, and the town. I'm still up at Christmas at least, although sadly 2025 was the last time staying the Childhood home. I've still got family in the area though, and somewhere to stay. I love the IoW, but St Albans is perhaps deeper.

Lived on a council estate, so everything was posh to me !. Plenty of £Million+ properties about though.

Wealthy I would say, but not not quite wealthiest (Born, and spent the first 30 years of my life there) . Because of being on the Bed-Pan line, it's a good choice for commuters. I love the IoW, but I have a deep connection with St.Albans.

Just getting to hear about this from "Across the Pond". I am angry and ashamed for you, and I'm hoping that the scum that we have over here that want Trump to "Sort out Starmer", and want ICE etc. here in the UK finally realise what is likely to happen.

From the UK, but was looking at some comments on this in "The other place" - of course plenty of people supporting this, but interspersed with "Must be AI", "They'd have hypothermia", to the old favourite "Who's Paying for this ?". It is possible for people to protest to, well, protest !

Ah yes, the "Christian" that was Christian enough to be uplifted by charity of others re. Foodbanks, but not enough to give a flying f about doing anything about it. I can't see him without thinking of the "Upper Class Twit of the Year" Python Sketch.. Maybe a different vowel in Twit though

Saving it for now, as I'm going through Voyager (Again). Might then re-watch Scrubs ahead of the new series, some more non-trek stuff, and then binge the whole season... might even have some news of SNW season 4 by then !
