Brushing takes too long though lol

Said friend taught me how to play using an Affinity deck, so he also installed a deep rooted hatred of artifacts in me I didn't understand until later 😁

Friend showed the game to me years ago when I was and am big into symbolism. It also helped that Champions of Kamigawa was just out at the time and I was big into Samurai and Japanese stuff at that moment. Still, I think these cards got me into the game most by art and mechanics.

I knew I liked this card. Now it makes more sense.

They have arrived but I not opened them and I'm not sure what to sleeve up with them yet so still reserve judgement. Should probably have it figured out by the weekend.

Ureni couldn't overcome that, and eventually also succumb.

Over, all these games were good and a lot of stuff happened. A few games a player didn't get to play their deck out but it was maybe twice.

Having the wife come out for some games was a lot of fun, and they specifically enjoyed planeschase

Through much struggle and a timely T-Pro, I manage to get their life total down into the lower teens. However, their planeswalkers kept giving them free removal and I eventually succumb to the value. Ureni tried with their dragons to take them down, but Kondo-Szat kept gaining life.

Eventually we settled on Xerex and Stairs to Inifnity, and stayed there. Unneknownst to me, Kondo-Sazt was actually a Superfriends deck. With my only removal for them in my graveyard and Ureni not having played against them much before, things turned on a Triumphant Reckoning.

Specifically not having double White was a problem. Struggled on though, holding a Sun Titan for Recovery. The Anowon player had to go in the middle of the game, so we became a three pod. Ureni dropped some dragons, and Kondo-Szat was silently filling their yard a bit.

Unfortunately for me, White mana was scarce for a lot of the game and hampered my plans. Probably my fault since I was depending on Generous Plunder's treasure for White sources. I did help me get Isshin down the first time, but Plunderer got removed before I could store up treasure.

Last game was Ureni, Isshin, Sidar Kondo / Tevesh Szat and Anowon, also featuring Planechase. This game started with Kondo Szat getting some free goats from Lorwyn, and promptly planeswalking away. The planes this time were less helpful to a single person, so a bit more of a balanced game.

The next game was Ureni, Xyris, Wort RG and Meren, and featured Planechase. It was a short game, where thanks to a visit to Llanowar, Wort was able to get there commander down early and Storm off for mana and cast a Crackle with Power for enough to nuke the table. I didn't even get Xyris down 😅
