Friend showed the game to me years ago when I was and am big into symbolism. It also helped that Champions of Kamigawa was just out at the time and I was big into Samurai and Japanese stuff at that moment. Still, I think these cards got me into the game most by art and mechanics.

No LGS visit this weekend as sickness has me mostly bed bound for now, but I can still wake up with hair to make my wife jealous so I'll take the wins where I can get em.

I have a few seven drops I really like, but none have helped me win games more than these two (I cheated). Specifically the utility of the first and the land search of the second.

Oh, we also got some random card storage boxes the shop was giving out, so win? Not Magic but I always need some more sorting boxes.

Eventually we settled on Xerex and Stairs to Inifnity, and stayed there. Unneknownst to me, Kondo-Sazt was actually a Superfriends deck. With my only removal for them in my graveyard and Ureni not having played against them much before, things turned on a Triumphant Reckoning.

Eventually we settled on Xerex and Stairs to Inifnity, and stayed there. Unneknownst to me, Kondo-Sazt was actually a Superfriends deck. With my only removal for them in my graveyard and Ureni not having played against them much before, things turned on a Triumphant Reckoning.
Ureni played Ureni, with haste, which brought the almost empty field they had to 5 dragons in total thanks to trigger and an Astral Dragon. Things were scary, with an impending Historian's Boon providing soldiers but soon would be providing angels with Summon: Yojimbo finishing soon.

Two good burns in though my Talent became a tree via Song of the Dryads. It was at this point that I became worried because Yenna was definitely going to make my stuff trees. Tried to get my stuff free with a Skyclave Apparition, but I found it lackluster, perhaps because I wanted to blink it.

Liesa Shroud of Dusk came down for some pain and Kunoros made Meren's eventually recovery half as good as it could have been. Xander, being played by my wife who loves chaos, had a Vizier of Many Faces copy Liesa, so life totals were chunking nicely. Lucea tried to play through, but lost in doing so

LGS games!

Ended the day grabbing some take out and chasing the moon for a good photo of it. We did not succeed lol. Low, orange and looking cross with us.

I'm a simple guy. Wife wanted more complications 😁 Burger burgering. Sliders with spinach artichoke dip is apparently face changing delicious, and dry dill pickle rub isn't bad (but a bit too salty).

Off to the LGS! But first lunch with the wife! Starting off drinks. Both good but I prefer the more mellow flavor of mine. Mint is a nice subtle taste in it, mango and pineapple.

Feather did well. I'm happy with the changes I made a few weeks ago. Elspeth Stormslayer made her first appearance, giving Young Pyromancer and three spells a turn some real oomph. Impact Tremors got countered unfortunately, so combat was the plan. Sudden Breakthrough also helped until I got land.

Back before I knew playmates for Magic were a thing, I colored up a play area on poster board. Years later I got my first playmat, but eventually wanted another one. None spoke to me at the time, nor did they have zones. So, I made one instead and still have it 14 years later. 😁

My wife got herself two new guinea pigs. Po (left) was named pretty early on, but I think we've decided on the other's final name. Prospero (left) Roundalf (because he is a veryround fellow)

I was a turn too late though with my plan, and their commander goaded my Stonecoil Serpent and 20/20 Hydra, forcing me to take out the third player and do much less to themselves. The next turn they easily overwhelmed my defenses with a Depthshaker Titan.

Next up was Leori against Ivy essentially. Early damage with a Nerd Rage attached followed by Corrupted Conscious ended the game quickly in Ivy's favor. A surprise include I rather liked was Gargos and I had a look at the deck before leaving. Gave me some ideas
