This game is a death by a thousand cuts. It's not one single huge thing. It's just all the little changes and design decisions that make it so frustrating.
I wanted to like this game more than I do, but i don't, which sucks because there were points i was genuinely having fun.

What am i supposed to do at this point? Keep running the same 2min long runbacks only to fight a boss that two shots me, or only has 3 moves and is boring as hell?

Blue Smelter Demon is just... ugh... The runback is complete horseshit. The boss itself is a reskin but with bullshit hitboxes and way too much damage.
Ancient Dragon can go fuck itself.
Nashandra is just whatever. The curse aura mechanic whatever is just dumb.

As for what i have left (and the order im doing them) all the DLC, Ancient Dragon, Vendrick, Darklurker, the final gauntlet
DLC1 is, like the rest of the game, mostly fine. Idk why it had to be another poison area though.

Hopefully the late-game and DLC is better, cause man, I need some sort of actual stimulus from this game besides the occasional frustration at the shit-ton of enemies.

Bloodborne is the only other souls game where I've gotten emotional like this. The other games are "too cool" almost. They're like action movies, you feel more like a hero taking on epic bosses.
