#OTD 1928, Roald Amundsen disappeared while flying the #Arctic from Tromsø,🇳🇴 in rescue mission after his friend Umberto Nobile & crew. His plane's debris was later found, Amundsen's remains were not. Amundsen conquered the Poles & gave his life for Polar exploration. Nobile was rescued weeks later 🧪
