My wife's Dad is a huge fan and when they lived in Japan would go a lot. Its very interesting to see a sport as old as sumo still work within the same confines. It has its unwritten rules and traditions that in a way rival baseballs and honestly I can see why both thrive.

IDK a lot about sumo but from what I have watched they talked about the rise of the Eastern Europeans in the sport. It's fascinating to me that a culture that in it's past wanted to avoid outside influence and in some ways today still does also recognizes and respects those that honor their culture
