Torres Strait Islander, 28, he/him. I'm just going to post about nature, probably. No qualifications, just a native plant & animal fan living in the bush. SW Victoria, Australia.
The fact that there are people at the anti-immigration marches across Australia waving eureka stockade flags just proves these people are uneducated idiots

With all the hatred around now would probably be a great time to mention I am transgender and you can please quietly unfollow me if you take issue with that.

Recovering from pneumonia + quitting smoking is kicking my butt rn.

On the bright side, I went for a fairly short walk this morning and saw crimson rosellas, new holland honeyeaters, wattle birds, swamp hens, crows, magpies, fairy wrens, and even a kookaburra. Awesome.

I'm on a mission to record the eucalyptus trees growing on my property, even though I can't tell which types they are. I probably won't be able to do them all, but I'm trying!

is there not a SINGLE EUCALYPTUS EXPERT ON INATURALIST?? AM I LOSING MY MIND??

This is a really cool area on the property, not far from the house. Native diversity, quiet but wild, and seems to get some animal use.

I'm trying to note the plants in the area. Unsurprisingly, the eucalyptus trees are giving me grief. I'm kinda tempted to label every one, "a gumtree."

This eucalyptus at the edge of my backyard has some cool leaves. Not sure what kind it is, though.
