(Oh yeah... I'm a first time DM... I've run 2 one shots with that group, but that's it. This here will be my first self developed story)

I'm now thinking about all the NPCs in the convoy (I think around 10 plus my party). Why are they on this trip? What's their mission? What's the conflict among them...
And of course what kind of encounters make sense to have...

I imagine this to be organized similarly like either a train ride or a cruise, with different planned stops, an organizer that handles all the logistics (food and stuff) and of course security... which may or may not be enough 😜
