How do you think EPA regulations work? They are "technology-forcing"—if you set a standard low enough, there are limited pathways for OEMs to meet it. EPA's own modeling projected that >2/3 of the market would be BEV/PHEV by 2032 under multiple compliance pathways.

More evidence that Biden's pro-union strategy was a political dead end. Dems should focus on consolidating the professional class and winning working class votes with broad policies (min wage, paid leave, etc.) instead of giveaways to corrupt and obsolete unions.

obviously there are a ton of savings to be realized in the defense budget but I think they are learning the wrong lessons from the Russia/Ukraine war here. recklessness here could be a disaster for American security/power projection.
