Today we spent the morning repairing the bird feeder and painting it. Tomorrow the clear coat layers, and then Wednesday it'll be back in action, feeding all the birds!

I cannot control the news of the day, but I can do small things to reset my nervous system so I can live to fight another day. For me that's interacting with nature, maybe a walk, gardening, or on a day like today: just sitting breathing mindfully and noticing with all my senses.

We scored some free bricks today from a home renovation project by the park. Came home and got them all unloaded for a future new garden bed. Then we built 2 new grape arches, and a squash trellis that we're trying out this year. The garden makes me so happy! 🥰🐦🌱
