It does not, in fact, tone it down. Every interactive element gets the same high contrast outline in dark mode. It’s so so so so so so bad. 😵

The red got pretty bright around 9:15p! The green more to the North was harder to see.

Took 4+ years to fully recover smell. Seems like there are a lot of different experiences. I never lost any taste, savory, sweet, sour etc., tongue was functioning. But mint, coffee (roastiness), floral, all took a long, long time to come back. A bizarre experience.

Same truck(?) southbound on Campbell and Augusta around 6p with multiple cars chasing and honking.

Early this evening, a surreal sight. A black SUV with tinted windows and huge push bars raced down Campbell Ave. just below Augusta. It was trailed by three cars blasting their horns at the truck. A woman wearing her baby and walking her dog flipped off the car. I told her I shared her sentiment.

The whole thing, it's just so bad. Will be interesting to see how quickly things evolve into a legible, functioning design language. Tick tock!

I also had the horrifying realization today that in just a few years, thrift store T-shirt racks are going to be full of horrible GenAI imagery from people's family reunions, failed small businesses, and local sports teams rather than the lovable, idiosyncratic, personal designs that dominate now.
