In 2015 I had the the honor of a lifetime to attend the 50th reunion of the Ia Drang veterans in D.C.

Feels as appropriate a time as any to post a few pics from the only time I've ever been to the White House (Medal of Honor Ceremony for COL Paris Davis).
Walking through the gates and entering through the East Wing was a surreal experience. Honestly surreal to think that entire part is just - gone.

Seeing the press corps posting pics of them leaving the building really hits hard - I had the privilege to work with many of them the past few years and you'll never meet a more dedicated, passionate and intelligent group of reporters.

Going to Jester King Brewery's Funk N Sour next week for the first time in years. Local restaurants pair with breweries and serve up collections of small plates and drinks - honestly one of the best culinary experiences I've ever had.
Anyway, they posted a teaser of the menu and I may die of gout.
