Obviously Im 1 QA in 1 small slice of Tech, but the devs I talk to shrug off issues due to other companies/3rd party as "not our problem, hope they fix it soon". And to be fair, theyre right

But how many other devs say the same thing? Are we all just waiting for everyone else to fix their shit lmao

So my work product is propped up by integrations with other companies, and some of those are hacky workarounds/3rd party APIs. But, the actual companies also have hacky/unstable features, most likely because they too are using open source/3rd party libraries

It's unstable all the way down lmao

On a hunch, swap my phone out for the og phone that was used to set up App account for the Lock.

WiFi setup fails once, but succeeds on second try with nothing changed.

Lock App likely not handling multiple device tokens for one account well, and at the very least does not inform user of this.

Before I can test Smart Locks integration with our system, need them connected to WiFi to send commands via cloud. Took some locks home to test, need to change lock WiFi.

WiFi change fails, no error given.

Research, API calls failing for Locks native app due to "super user" perms missing (1/2)

Just feeling nostalgic today now that the move has calmed down. Oh how different life was even a few years ago.

Also upon reflection, there wasn't ALWAYS joy, in fact it was rare a day went by that I felt like it all "went well" and was happy, but sometimes it all clicked. But even so, I miss those days. Yeah I can stream part time still, but it feels different in a way that's hard to explain.

It's still got it's problems (it's ceo for starters, but what social media ceo ISN'T a huge bag of rotten dicks), but it's still, so far, a fun thing to check up on.

Or maybe I just haven't screwed up my feed yet, who knows.

Does kinda sound like a hilariously fun ability for say a deckbuilder rouge-like. "If you're affected by at least 1 Buff AND 1 Debuff that are both random chance, all probabilities are quintupled."

For example, rolling a stealth check to sneak out the back of an auditorium. Lottery drawing results rolls multiple times because it succeeding gives the entire audience advantage on perception check, since they're all scanning the crowd for the winner. Sounds like a nightmare to program.

Honestly maybe those are the same perk. "Inconvenient Blessings". No idea how you translate that to a game mechanic, because it's not just a flat increase to all probabilities. It's like "if the success of a different event results in the failure of your check, that event is rolled three times"

But seriously, extremely surprised by Arianne, I hope she gets more opportunities to show off her acting and comedy chops.

Highlight of the night was when the "TO BE CONTINUED" screen pops up at the end, and a single person in the back of the theater loudly exclaimed "WHAT?"

Assuming they missed the very large PART 1 plastered over the title card.

Best way to describe the general art direction is that it has the same tacky, uncanny feeling that most YA novel adaptations suffer from. Think the inner district's in later Hunger Games, but Everything is Like That.

The CG was decent quality though I felt!
