If you claim to be an antipope without anyone recognising you as an antipope does this make you an antiantipope? And does this then simplify down to simply becoming a pope? Seems easier than all the priesting and conclaving faff

There have been 266 popes. the rate of intersex people is about 1.7%. so very rough maths gives us maybe about 4-5 popes as intersex. You’ve almost certainly had at least one in reality. So I don’t want to hear any anti-woke whining.

Instead, we should look to history, path dependency, institutional structures, politics, and economics. For Tokyo, I think urban planning—walkability, mixed use neighborhoods, affordable real estate—all contribute to the richer media and commercial systems that feed into culture.
