LFX Insights is cool! It summarises LOTS of data about 1000+ #OpenSource projects hosted by @linuxfoundation.org. For example, you can see that @cncf.io owns 205 projects valued at $27B (20% of which is #Kubernetes). Find project stats, Open Source Index, and more at insights.linuxfoundation.org

No, I would never be able to grasp the black humour abyss of a person who decided to establish the Karma brand for wheelchairs.

The freshest "State of Kubernetes jobs in 2024 Q4" report highlighting current #Kubernetes salaries in various regions. E.g., "For 2024, 65% of the European jobs pay less than €80,000, 35% pay between €80,000-200,000." Popular technologies (attached) are also interesting kube.careers/state-of-kub...

Another interesting #CloudRepatriation story. Yellowbrick, an SQL data platform provider, had been spending ~$6m/year on AWS, Azure, and GCP. They cut the costs by half by moving from public clouds to the private solution powered by #Kubernetes, MinIO, and LINSTOR. www.infoq.com/news/2025/01...

Despite what you've just thought about Argo and taming it for your Kubernetes setups, this is a famous woodblock print titled Ryuko tako no asobi ("Popular Octopus Games") by Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1840-1842) 🙃

Have you seen that shocking 18.7% only of remote offers throughout the current tech job market?! Moreover, it's declining! This chart seems to be backed by lots of data (more than 200k open jobs). It's like a parallel universe for me, working fully remotely for the last decade…

#Ghostty v1.0.0 was released recently. Created by Mitchell Hashimoto (the founder of HashiCorp), it's a new Open Source terminal emulator written in #Zig. We all are aware that #Kubernetes is a Greek word. However, does anyone know that "cybernetics" originated from "Kubernetes" in the 1940s? Thus, "Kubernetes" [as the word] gave the name to cybernetics even before Kubernetes [as the Cloud Native technology] existed 🤯🙃

P.S. "Kubernan" is another gem!
