Dublin 26/4/25 United Against Racism & 39 supporting organisations drummed up a much smaller march than that against immigrants, where people were bussed in also from beyond Ireland. Gardai boxed the counter demonstration in before the GPO, only allowing them to march well after the fascists

On personal matters I just managed my part time move into a pied de terre in Dublin East Wall! Lovely service by Liam and his photoshy colleague for the Big White Van. But: Ireland really needs to get a grip on the housing situation, if one needs a year to get into a small place like this!

Trying yo survive the darkest weeks of the year...both locally and metaphorically. How will women's rights fare in Syria? When will the EU speak on Georgia? (Kudos to the EP, the only institution so far demanding new elections) www.europarl.europa.eu/news/en/pres.... What will happen in Ukraine?

Should employers ensure that lorry drivers get to sleep outside their truck plus a weekend at home every 45 days? These are 2 measures Lithuania and 4 other EU states have challenged before the ECJ as discriminating against business in periphery states. Up on Friday (C-541/20)
