I absolutely must watch this! One of the previous owners of our Italian house had a German soldier as a boyfriend during World War II, who opposed the war. Among the treasures we discovered was a remarkable 1915 Austrian gold one-ducat coin, mint in plastic.

Last year we told our families we aren’t participating in gifts anymore. For us to go buy from just the nieces and nephews it’s over a dozen presents. Plus our kids. It’s expensive and exhausting. We buy our kids stuff they need. Like the laundry set we got our oldest two years ago.
