reverse wip wednesday and it’s this section that makes me laugh from the already published trucker sylvain x hitchhiker felix fic
Sylvain keeps his word, assailed by visions of Felix grabbing the wheel if he thought he was being ignored. They only drive long enough to hit a rest stop. It’s still bizarre to Sylvain to live out a routine alongside someone. They end up brushing their teeth side by side in the rest stop bathroom. Sylvain gets oddly shy, and then feels dumb about it, but he’s still not entirely sure where to look. Felix’s eyes slide to his in the mirror with a mouth full of foam. He points with his chin: on the wall between their sinks is a drawing of a dick with a top hat and monocle. Below that is a telephone number, with the inscription: CALL ME, I SUCK TOES! Felix raises his eyebrows with a pointed look at Sylvain, like: well? How about it? Sylvain has to spit out his toothpaste before he chokes. He laughs, still chokes a little, then catches himself on the sink to breathe. Felix smirks at him around his toothbrush. It shouldn’t be hot, given the foam and the bereavement and the anonymous toe sucker. Sylvain thinks maybe he’s delirious. Felix was right to stop him driving.
