Exciting to see @jschaarup.bsky.social publish his first PhD paper, showing that low heart rate variability in people with elevated diabetes risk is linked with higher mortality, heart failure and MACE. @au.dk @stenoaarhus.bsky.social

Jonas Schaarup's detailed examination of data from the Maastricht Study (NL) shows that people with cardiovascular autonomic dysfunction have stiffer arteries and that (pre)diabetes modifies these associations. Our study is now on MedRxiv@medrxivpreprint.bsky.social. Have a look!
