Seriously though, the thick wavy red outline HEAVILY implies that this is a meteorological blob. But the Northern Ireland shape is a giveaway. This has been drawn by someone who’s been told “fill in central Scotland and Northern Ireland” and make it look weathery.
The invisible anti-storm barrier at the UK/Ireland border seems to be doing its job.
