When apple blossoms are open, there is a risk of the bacterial disease fire blight. Average temps 60 F + favor the bacteria in the flower to grow...watch out for wetting events like rain and heavy dew = this washes the bacteria from the stigma into the nectaries = disease occurs. Stay alert!
