I believe this trend poses a serious risk to mathematics instruction if left unexamined.

The article draws references the work of three educators I deeply admire:

Not an expert, but an undergrad psych/math person. As I understand it they're related, but DPT is more about processing information, while where PvC speaks to how information is stored in memory. Definitely an overlap though. I love psych, but math has taken over my life, so I hope that helps.

So many teachers worry about seating. I find most feel that if they don’t sit their kids in groups, they’ll be perceived by colleagues and administrators as something that I haven’t figured out yet.
