They had a thin white sheet across the front of the stage, a large screen at the back and the band between the two. Projecting different visuals onto each surface with the band in silhouette. It was outstanding.

Mine was absolutely inevitable - sorry 😉

Next up on the re-reading of old favourites.

Richard Brautigan - Sombrero Fallout.

This was my first Brautigan but remains my favourite.

Small palate cleanser before my next read. If the Yorkshire Traction bus ticket acting as a bookmark is anything to go by, I last read this 25 years ago.

Decided I wasn’t mentally strong enough to embrace the madness of Gaspar Noe again. Went for a Wim Wenders double bill.

More Seichō Matsumoto.

Well who’d have thunk it - reading Inspector Imanishi Investigates by Seichō Matsumoto (published in 1961) and there’s a detective called Hiroshi Yoshimura.

Have you seen the Futurama 2 line up? That was awesome. With the exception of a certain character on the Sunday. We played on the Saturday (down as Y? on the bill).

Well as preparation for One Battle After Another I started to read Pynchon’s Vineland but I’m really bogged down in the hipster vernacular.

Taking a break with the help of Yoko Ogawa after loving The Memory Police.

Trying to ‘still care’ and not hide from the outside world .v. the endless fucking daily horror.

‘One of the most unsettling questions of our times “

Do fuck off Guardian.

Only an absolute fuckwit would think a car or a washing machine could suffer. AI is no different, whatever you might claim.

I’ve had a Casio MG-510 since the late 80’s. It’s basically a Japanese built Ibanez with a MIDI pickup. Fairly nice guitar tbh. Midi is ok, pickup is effective though some latency makes it difficult for anything other than triggering pads. Haven’t used it as a midi controller for a long time.

Poster for the legendary (in Barnsley) gig that never happened. Eno cancelled the tour (including this date) after too much bedroom activity triggered a collapsed lung.

This got me curious. So did a little search.

Reply #7 is interesting. Suggests it may be related to harmonics and/or intonation.
