I understand the underlying theme of "thrill of the forbidden", but going from "downhill skiing" to "flashing" feels like an overcorrection.

One of my son's friends has a criminal record for stealing food during a desperate time in his life. Apparently, when this happened, the storekeeper said he couldn't understand anyone needing to steal food. I can't understand someone not understanding that.
