SCOTUS has no original jurisdiction over this.
But every day I think I can’t be surprised anymore and I’m proven wrong. So.

It is conceivably possible that the scotus could hear a state case but it would have to go through state appeals and state Supreme Court first and then be granted cert on a real constitutional issue…which is laughable.

The bar is extremely low for these grad courses- shockingly low. There are so many better ways to make better teachers. Those fake masters (and phds even) aren’t it.

I am only a humble high school government teacher but I think this system would be constitutional without an amendment. It still meets the proportional state apportionment rules.

Reading federalist 10 with students this week- the whole point was that to prevent this you need a lot of parties/factions so one can’t take over. We failed.
