It’s really, really sad that this was an AP article today. It depends on family. Mine? Was never an issue. My wife’s? Constant, but have since shielded ourselves from it. I know I was blessed with a great family. My mom passed this evening 15 years ago. Miss her and dad so much.

Just started listening to their 2024 “Burning the Fields” and really happy they stuck with the Rickenbacher bass sound. They wouldn’t sound the same without it

Beginning holiday afternoon chill. Gothic rock mainstay. They wore ankle-long drovers coats on stage. Saw them live once. They really had a vibe. Fun fact: Lead singer Carl McCoy had a cameo as the “Nomad” in the 90’s movie “Hardware”. Dude in the drover coat with glowey eyes, just like their vids

I drove through Parkfield late after a tumultuous dirt road (in a '91 Toyota Tercel.. loved that car!) and saw the bridge that was torqued still on the fault trace back in 2006. You can just see the railing twisted. They marked the boundary with a sign.

We're picking up Clarice (yes.. we named her, after Rudolph's girlfriend) next weekend. Picking her up and then date night at one of the best pizzerias within 50 miles of here. Angelo's in Wildomar! Clarice will sauce up our front yard after Thanksgiving.

Random observation. This is an iron fireplace back I bought in 2017. It’s forged by a small business in PA and weighs about 70lbs. Love it. Paid $300 for it then. Same one now costs almost $700 now. In 10 years it may be considered a precious commodity?

We were socked with clouds, but thin clouds. I think this orangish/yellow ball of light directly on the northern horizon was the aurora light filtered through those clouds! There's no city due north of us for at least 100 miles

It is date night at a local steak house with a fantastic and tragedy history. The downstairs bar is supposingly haunted. No spooks, but fantastic vodka martinis!

Friday afternoon chill is this gem. Slayer covering a bunch of OG punk anthems from the 70s and 80s? Yes please!!!!
November 8, 2025 at 1:19 AM
"All in the Family" was the best, most progressive character-driven and impactful series that was a siren song from the 70s. Think otherwise I'll fight you!

The 52yo sycamore tree in our front yard really sheds some massive leaves in the Fall.
