This was the 80s

This was the old days of going to the AHA for the job hunt. Before the AHA created the noisy and congested cattle pens and now we all do the interviews by zoom.

I had six interviews at that AHA. The four with women on the committee had the rooms cleaned and the chair for me.

As a student at an Am Mil. HS in London in the 60s I took Shakespeare my 11/12th grades with a scholar. We read, listened to a recording and discussed and watched a film, and finally, over two years and a lot of train trips we saw every single play performed. Some professional some not. It has stuck

My class on the 1760s was thrilled I brought in a churn and cream today and they had to “make butter” while o lectures on colonial agricultural practices and early American foodways. And yes I took in a baguette to smear the butter they made. Happy student and a high level of discussion.
