Let’s also remember we need to focus on this. Johnson is indicating that his plan is to push Springfield to act to allow Chicago to leverage professional services taxes, local corporate income tax, digital ad taxes, and PILOT taxes. He also says no furloughs or cuts allowed. Promising…

I know they probably were attending anyway, but I appreciated Gov. Phil Murphy and the First Lady wishing Anisimova well on her match and mentioning they are proud she is representing New Jersey. 💯

This is remarkably sad. The Kennedy Center is a great institution languishing because of political interference.
Everything Trump touches dies.

Between Congress/Trump and City Council/Mayor, it’s a string of constant disappointments for me. @irvineghost20.bsky.social
Mayor Brandon Johnson’s 26 to 23 victory was secured only after the mayor was forced to cast the third tie-breaking vote of his 19-month tenure.
Mayor Johnson's $830M bond issue sqeaks through City Council
But the mayor was forced to cast another tie-breaking vote to avoid having the decision on his bond issue put off even longer.

If I see one more person cite “The Art of the Deal” while defending Trump’s tariff position, I am going to scream.
