Shockingly large crowd at the #NoKings protest in Carrboro NC. This is likely the smallest of the protests nearby today... And it's gigantic.
(Picture taken close enough to hear the speaker, majority of crowd behind me.)

Area dog is not allowed to go out back on his own because the deck has just been repainted. He's looking at us like we took away his favorite toy.
Worse news for area dog: we're supposed to wait a week before allowing "heavy traffic" on the deck... And he definitely counts as heavy traffic.

One of our cats enjoys occasionally jumping up on top of a set of cubbies we have on the wall. Why? She can't go anywhere or do anything from there but jump down... Evidently she just likes to demonstrate she can sit there.

Yes! (Had to check to be sure, here's an example with my settings). It's the experimental setting that I mean. It's been a feature for quite a while, not sure what's experimental about it still!

They shot some of this "The Summer I Turned Pretty" show at UNC--in fact there's the psych building (Davie Hall) being all blocky in the very first shot of this trailer:

I checked to see what memes I have saved to the camera roll, which I share with my wife... And discovered I save no memes, she saves all the memes. But here's a classic

I seem to be growing sweet potatoes (from slips sprouted from one from the Carrboro farmers market) in a container. Is this a good idea? Who knows, certainly not me!

Last stop before Chapel Hill! Did you know that UNC runs a K-2 lab school in Roxboro NC? I didn't either. It's the Carolina Community Academy. We heard about their impressive successes and what the school has meant to the community. (And some of us helped students into their cars to go home.)
