Daniel. I love movies. TO for @wolfpackteamuk.bsky.social. Find me on Letterboxd at letterboxd.com/DanielRochelle/
Credits just rolled on Donkey Kong Bananza. Overall a very, very good game! Slightly held back by some questionable design choices but still one of the best 3D platformers ever made. If you think it's better than Super Mario Odyssey you are smoking crack cocaine.

Didn't watch as many movies as I would like to have in April due to Real Life Things coming first, but still a good month overall. If you haven't seen The Graduate you should change that, I promise it feels way more contemporary and relatable than its age would indicate.

All the movies I watched in March 2025, rated and reviewed. Slightly slower month due to various commitments, but a strong one all the same. David Lynch's "Blue Velvet" has become an instant personal favourite.

I love this so much. There was absolutely no need to render Wigglytuff in this much unnerving detail, but they did it any way.

Had a great time at Gala, went 2-2 in Rivals of Aether 2 and looked classy doing it

#moviemonday Every movie I watched in February, rated and reviewed. Bit of a mixed bag overall, but sometimes that's just the way things go. If you tolerated Alien: Romulus you need your head checking.

All the movies I watched and rewatched in January, rated and reviewed over on Letterboxd. A great start to 2025!

My Letterboxd wrapped for 2024. I expected the most watched director to be Akira Kurosawa but it turns out that this Hamilton Luske was one of the directors on a bunch of Disney movies from the early 40s to early 60s, so Luske it is. 170 movies total - not bad.

December is for Christmas and Christmas is for MOVIES. Everything I watched in December, rated and reviewed. I just love having time off work.

Merry Christmas everyone!

📽️ Just watched F.W. Murnau's Nosferatu (1922) for the first time. I think this has just become one of my favourite shots ever?

Over the weekend I watched episode 516 of One Piece, which means I've officially reached the time skip. Going to take a break from the show over Christmas, but here's a quick tier list of the arcs I've seen so far

All the movies I watched in November, rated and reviewed. The month started off a little shaky but I think it's safe to say we had redeemed it by the end. A few of these movies are instant all-timers for me. Watch King Kong!

Came 3rd at my first Rivals of Aether 2 tournament :) Got a lot of work to do for sure through, the skill gap between me and 2nd/1st place is enourmous.

Just saw the Rock Orchestra for the second time - phenomenal, again. Strongly recommend seeking these guys out if you like the sound of an orchestra covering various rock and metal songs.

One thing I haven't seen people mention about Rivals of Aether 2 yet is how cool the Arcade mode art is

My 4th time seeing Royal Republic and they were just as incredible as ever. Pretty devastating to realise they've now got so many great songs that I'm unlikely to hear some personal favourites live ever again though 💔

All the movies I watched in October, rated and reviewed. Went on a little horror and horror-adjacent binge towards the end of the month given the season. You can follow me on Letterboxd at letterboxd.com/DanielRochel... if you're interested in reading any of these reviews!

Rach and I started watching Future Boy Conan (one of Hayao Miyazaki's first works as a director) yesterday. It's fascinating to see many of the themes and aesthetic sensibilties that would come to define him as a film-maker fully formed so early in his career. Very charming!

Made a day 0 Rivals of Aether 2 tier list, based solely off my experience playing the (excellent) Steam NextFest demo over the last week
