If you pick A, please let me know if you ever need a guest contributor! My husband and bff are teachers in separate districts so at least twice a week I want to burn it all down (even more so than when I left the classroom to get my PhD in 2015)

Daycare is more than my mortgage.

Yes, really.

And I'm one of the few millennials who got into the housing market and found daycare. Most aren't so lucky.

Nowhere I go are people wearing masks. They've given up on it despite COVID being back up at the top in terms of infection rates.

Sure, you might be fine because you're vaccinated, but my infant won't be! No care for our neighbor anymore.

The company that made the new RSV vaccine for babies didn't make enough so now it's like parents have to engage in Hunger Games-esque battle for the small supply.

Why is infant health supported by one company? Why don't we have a nationwide vaccine rollout?

We have to keep dog pee pads in our diaper bag because there are often no surfaces besides the floor where we can change her.

Often these don't have hooks to hang your purse or diaper bag so you can get even more bathroom shoe germs.

Follow along as I give examples of how existing is so much harder than it needs to be here.

Starting us off, why don't all bathrooms have a changing table?

Why aren't there separate feeding rooms?

We need baby stations like in Japan!

Even giving them the benefit of the doubt on the difficulty of getting any national policy accomplished, there would be millions more daily actions showing they cared.

But no. Our society hates children and their parents. I heard this before having a kid but now I see the proof everywhere...

Yeah I feel like the power of AI would be to have program officers upload reviewer comments into AI to have them be turned from "how dare you, lowly garbage" tone into "not bad! Shows promise, just not this year" tone

From the state and won't even move back despite 1) we have a new baby and all of our family is there and 2) my job wouldn't even have to change as I can be fully remote.

That's how bad the state is rn
